camp

Mt Ruapehu
On the 20th of August I went to to Mount Ruapehu with Waikowhai Senior Syndicate. It was so fun. We had to fundraise so much money to get to go on camp by selling chocolate and a bunch of other stuff.

I had so much fun on the bus ride there and we sat talking and playing for about seven hours because we made some stops at Otorohanga at a Playground and at  the Ed Hillary walk way, Hamilton gardens and some others. They were all so fun. The Hamilton Gardens were really cool because that is the city I was born in and I have been there a lot of times. O
torohanga was fun at the playground and at the Ed Hillary walk way too.

Once we got there at The Crossing it was night time and so we unpacked ate some dinner and then went to bed. The next day I was so tired and I wanted to stay in bed but I didn't.

I went and I got all my gear on and then went to breakfast. At breakfast I met up with my dad and then ate breakfast. I got the rest of my gear on and then we left for the mount. On the bus it was so hot and It was also quiet for some weird reason. When we got onto the Shuttle it was fun because we got to see the snow and everyone was going "whooo." While we went past the snow.

Once we got there it took ages to get all the snowboards and the boots and the helmets ready. Once we got the gear we were off straight to the tobogganing and then we went straight to the lessons learning how to snowboard. I did pretty well and was off down Happy Valley. I come up Happy Valley on the magic carpet and I started going up down up down Happy Valley and then once the lesson was over we went up to the top of Mt Ruapehu in the gondola. We went up there for a photo and then a little play. I slid on the snow down a big hill.

After that we went back to The Crossing and played, had showers, had dinner and then went to bed. We got to sleep at about 11 o'clock and was so tired the next day. I was going with my dad up the chair lift that day and I went right up to the top of Happy Valley I tried a jump up there and I fell over. I got back up and then went down the rest of the hill it was so fun.

The next day we went home and on the way back we went to the Hot Pools it was so fun they had a bombing island, a slide and a Tarzan swing. On the way back we went to the Hamilton Gardens to and we had a little stop and then got back on the bus. On the bus we made up a rap and it was so cool. My dad wrote it down and then sang it to the whole bus and we recorded it! When we got back it was so fun because I got to see my mum.

I have been doing 2 slideshows about camp and there is some cool activates in them here is a link to my slideshows slideshow 1 slideshow 2
